Guidelines
for Rotary Speakers
Thank you for agreeing to share your expertise and
experience with our club members. In order to avoid last minute
difficulties please review the guidelines listed below. If you have
any questions please contact our our president at hendersonchevy@yahoo.com
You're invited to join us for lunch at no cost to you. Please let us know if there will be others attending with you and we will provide lunch for them as well. Your sponsoring club member will introduce you. Please provide
them with the introduction information you wish used. Your presentation MUST end promptly at 12:55 P.M. Many members
must return to work and extending a meeting is not possible under
any circumstances. Your presentation can be between 10 and 25 minutes long. We adjust our meeting start time to allow for your needs. Please let your sponsoring member or the President know how much time you'll need as soon as possible or when you arrive so we can plan other meeting activities accordingly. We can allow time for members to ask questions and you can stay after the meeting and meet with members that wish to stay longer with questions.
Your presentation needs to be vocationally educational and must
avoid overt sales, personal political, or personal religious messages
except as they relate to the company or institution you are representing. Our club has approximately 100 members and 60 to 70 are in attendance
at any given meeting. There are no copy facilities in the meeting
room so you will need to bring handouts if they are necessary
for your presentation. If you can send them to us ahead of time
via an email we will get them duplicated (black and white) and
have them at the meeting for you. Requests for donations from the club as a whole need be made
to the Board in writing and as opposed to being solicited from
the members during your presentation. You can present a request
to the Board to consider at the next regularly scheduled board
meeting. If your sponsoring club member wishes, we can "pass
the hat" for immediate or emergency needs. The presentation may not be for the purpose of marketing services
or products that are already provided by existing club members.
Please check with your sponsoring member ahead of time if you
think this might be a problem. |
